Budiman Lutfi Mohamed currently serves as the Executive Director of Enforcement at the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC). In this role, he oversees the SC’s key enforcement functions, including investigations, criminal prosecutions, and civil enforcement actions. The Enforcement Division that Budiman leads ensures that capital market offences are addressed with rigour, transparency, and accountability, reflecting the SC's commitment to maintaining market integrity and investor protection.
Before joining the SC, Budiman had an extensive legal career in public service, spending approximately 20 years with the Attorney General’s Chambers of Malaysia, where he served in various capacities including as Deputy Public Prosecutor and Senior Federal Counsel. During his tenure, he was involved in numerous high-profile and complex cases, contributing significantly to the development of regulatory and criminal law enforcement in Malaysia. Prior to his public service, Budiman was in private legal practice.
He is a law graduate of King’s College London, and is admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. A die-hard fan of the Liverpool Football Club, Budiman is married with two children.
