Samantha McGuire is the Manager of a Regulatory Services team at Financial Markets Authority (FMA).  Her team is responsible for assessment and action on matters in FMA’s regulatory perimeter which includes responding to investment scams impacting New Zealand.  Alongside her team’s response role, we undertake extensive engagement with industry and collaborating with multiple agencies both domestically and internationally.  Samantha represents FMA on the recently announced New Zealand Anti Scam Alliance, reflecting her commitment to cross-sector efforts in combating scams and enhancing consumer protection.

Prior to FMA, Samantha spent over 20 years in banking industry encompassing various roles and functions at New Zealand’s largest bank, ANZ.
