He has more than 25 years of working experience in the corporate sector, specializing in Information Technology, Finance, Program Management, Information Management and Data Analytics. His working experience in IT ranges from IT Management, IT Project Management in Banking & Retail Business Environment, IT Consultancy and System Implementation including 3 years as an IT Head of one of the top-tier Construction Company in the country.

Apart from his IT experience, Edward has other working experience in Finance, specializing in Cost Management of an international bank with strong presence in Asia, Africa & Middle East. His other working experience in financial institutions includes leading the Transformation Office - Project Management Office (PMO) functions of the largest bank in Malaysia and regional secondment to operations in Indonesia. His last role with the organization was leading the Enterprise Information Management Department. Prior assuming his current role, he was Head of Analytics for one of the largest stand-alone Islamic Bank in Malaysia.

In his current capacity as Head of Analytics with Securities Commission Malaysia, his scope of coverage includes Data Governance, Data Warehouse / Engineering, Data Submission, Operational Analytics and Data Science functions for the regulator.
