Nicholas is a strong advocate of web3 policies and blockchain innovation in Malaysia. He is passionate about bridging web3 innovation with traditional sectors to drive the mainstream adoption of web3.
He currently leads the Token Crowdfunding Operations at pitchIN - Malaysia’s leading private market fundraising and investment hub. At pitchIN, he helps traditional companies and local Web3 startups raise funds through digital token offerings. pitchIN completed its maiden TCF deal in August, raising a total of RM10M for a local PropTech company.
Prior to joining pitchIN, Nicholas spent five years with Securities Commission Malaysia (SC). During which, he championed development policies for digital assets, including on token issuances, listing, custody, and DeFi. Nicholas was also instrumental in the development of the SC’s five-year blueprint for the Capital Market, and has led various research verticals to shape the SC’s policies on SupTech, RegTech, sustainable finance, and behavioral finance.
