In his welcome remarks, SC Chairman, Dato’ Mohammad Faiz Azmi shared the importance of the SC’s GROW initiative and the goal to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for entrepreneurs in Malaysia. The Chairman added that GROWMatch “synergises the strengths of diverse ecosystem partners to provide a comprehensive support system for food security innovators”.
In his opening remarks, SC Chairman, Dato’ Mohammad Faiz Azmi stressed the importance of innovation to address the evolving needs related to climate change, social inclusion, new growth sectors, and demographic shifts. He added that industry stakeholders must harness technology to build an inclusive, acessible, efficient and sustainable capital market.
In his welcoming remarks, SC Chairman, Dato’ Seri Dr. Awang Adek Hussin, stressed on the need for effective leadership to navigate the complexities of technological advancements. He was deeply concerned that many industry players continue to fall short in their cyber hygiene practices. Many organisations are also failing to adhere with key security practices.
In his Opening Address, SC Chairman, Dato’ Seri Dr. Awang Adek Hussin, reflected on the Malaysian capital market’s commendable adoption of technology.
“Over the past three decades, the Malaysian capital market has demonstrated a remarkable embrace of technology, from the introduction of electronic trading platforms to the emergence of online broking systems.”
“But embracing emerging technology isn't just about staying ahead of the curve. It is also about creating a better, more inclusive future for everyone.”
At the 3rd SCxSC Grow Workshop, Dato’ Seri Dr. Awang Adek Hussin, Chairman of the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC), stressed the need to do more to address the specific needs and challenges by MSMEs. He elaborated on the importance of collaboration in the enterprenurial ecosystem. Today’s workshop was also the SCxSC Grow’s first collaboration with the Bioeconomy Corporation.
In his opening remarks, the SC Chairman announced that the SC and Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM) have established the Malaysian Innovation Agri-Financing Steering Committee. The Steering Committee is an initiative that includes the SC, KPKM, Agrobank and MDEC.
